Choirs
Worship Choir meets every other Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00. The worship team facilitates morning worship with the worship band providing gospel and contemporary harmonies to familiar praise songs and hymns. There is no reading music required and no audition for participation. Rehearsals will be every Wednesday, beginning September 3, and continue on September 17, October 1, 15, 29, and November 5. We sing in the Morning Worship on Sundays: October 5 and November 9.
Traditional Choir also meets on Wednesdays every other week and rehearses choral pieces to be sung as special events in the worship service. No audition is required. Styles range from classical to gospel. Rehearsals Begin Saturday, August 30 from 10:00-1:30, then on every other Wednesday beginning on September 10, and continuing September 24, October 10, 22 from 6:30-8:15pm. They will sing at the morning worship services on Sundays: September 14 and October 26.
Children’s Choir, ages 6-12, meets on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00-5:00. They sing with the worship team on scheduled Sunday mornings as well as prepare for seasonal performances.
Christmas Choir will meet on Saturday November 8 from 9:30- 1:30 and then every Wednesday evening beginning on November 12 until our Christmas Production on December 13 and 14. Rehearsals begin Saturday, November 8, from 9:30-1:30 and then the on every Wednesday evening beginning November 12 until our Christmas Production on December 13, and 14.
Worship Teams
Worship Team serves to help lead our congregation into an atmosphere of praise and reverence. Instrumentalists and singers are auditioned for volunteered positions. They come into rehearsals on Sunday mornings already knowing their music and are scheduled according to the musical needs of that particular Sunday.
Drama
Drama Team often performs 3-7 minutes sketches and readers’ theatre for our congregation as aids for that week’s teaching. Often they are used for our seasonal productions as well. Memorization is required and participation is on an audition basis.
