PREP stands for Portland Released-time Education Program. This is a non-profit ministry geared towards teaching children about the Bible. These Bible classes are held one day a week throughout the normal school year calendar during normal school hours. In the Vestal Elementary School district these weekly classes are held at Central Bible Church on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Transportation is provided. Class time consists of songs, prayer, a Bible lesson, and of course, FUN! Your child’s enrollment is free and welcome at any time throughout the year.

Our goal is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children who may have a very limited knowledge about the God of the Bible, in addition to strengthening the faith of those that do. We also firmly believe that PREP4Kids is a great way for believers to connect with each other to form lasting friendships in the school setting. Furthermore, PREP4Kids is a great opportunity for your child to be equipped to live out their faith during school and at home.

My name is Trevor Lancaster. I am the PREP4Kids coordinator for Vestal Elementary School. I am currently enrolled at Multnomah University to graduate with a Biblical Studies degree. I have been involved with youth and children’s ministries for the past three years. In particular I have been involved with PREP4Kids for one year.
